Resident Camp At Camp Dean
The Camp Dean resident camp program runs from June through August each summer. Programs are offered for girls K-12th grades and for 1-12 nights, depending on age, skill level and program focus. Summer camp creates a ideal community where girls experience what it means to live peacefully with others, learn about other countries through interactions with our international staff, and how to help her community through service. Camp Dean offers girls the opportunity to discover her full potential. While at camp, she will gain independence, self-esteem, communication skills and a wealth of life skills that she will take with her throughout her life. Camp is about more then fun and games - it's about helping girls to grow strong, discover and reach her full potential and  learn about community in a safe and accepting environment.

Program
Camp Dean provides a well-rounded, girl planned, program. Girls may choose to attend a special focus session on a certain topic. This means she will spend more time in one area, developing skills. All girls get to chose to participate in other activities such as art, drama, cooking, outdoor skills, nature, creek stomping, sports, adventure and much, much more!
Programs are designed and geared towards certain age levels, providing a challenging and exciting experience for the camper. Campers gain a multitude of skills through hands on interaction. Games, activities , and fun are our tools to help instill important life skills in our campers.

Safety
Safety is our first priority at Camp Dean. Camp Dean is proudly accredited by the American Camp Association. This means that we follow strict program quality and safety standards and are reviewed on a regular basis. We also follow state and GSUSA guidelines when designing and implementing programs. your campers safety and well-being (physical and emotional) is our number one priority.

Staff
Camp Dean staff is the best of the best. Each staff member undergoes a detailed application, interview, and reference and background check process. Staff members are selected because they have demonstrated sound judgment, maturity, responsibility, a love of the outdoors, an appreciation for diversity and inclusiveness, and most importantly - a desire to help girls grow strong through the camp experience. All staff members must attend a two week staff training. During the training, they learn how to handle homesickness, behavior management, outdoor skills, safety and emergency preparedness and prevention, and much more. All staff members are trained in first aid or a higher level of certification.
